In the past, the Forbidden City has served as the abode of the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It IS located in Beijing. Surrounded by a moat, the city is the world’s largest impressive complex. It encompasses 980 buildings containing around 9,999 rooms.
It is a fascinating landform harbour sandwiched between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon in Hong Kong. It is an important trading centre of China. The bay offers arresting views of the towering buildings of Hong Kong Island and the Tsim Sha Tsui shoreline. As day draws to a close several skyscrapers on both sides of the harbour lit up brightly and it looks as if a light festival is going on. You can enjoy the harbour on a ferry.
It is one of the most arresting archaeological structures in the world. This majestic army consists of terracotta warriors and horses. It is located in Xi’an and is a must-visit tourist attraction of China. It consists of around 8,000 lifelike terracotta warriors and 130 chariots. No two warriors have same faces which itself shows how much hard work and creativity has gone into its construction.
This wonderful cruise takes you from Guilin to Yangshuo in north eastern Guangxi Province. Away from the concrete city, the river offers beautiful scenery and peaceful ambiance. Located in Sichuan province in China, Leshan Gian Buddha is a stone sculpture carved out of a cliff in the 8th century. It faces Mt. Emei with Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers flowing below his feet. It has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
They are located on the southern slopes of Ailao Mountain in Yuanyang. They have been cultivated by the Hani people for the last 1,000 years. They look beautiful.
Lip smacking cuisine of China
China majorly has eight cuisines namely Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan, and Zhejiang. The staple food includes rice, vegetables and noodles. Dumplings made up of minced meat and chopped vegetables wrapped in a thin piece of dough skin are one of the most famous dishes of China.
